Are All Toothpaste Safe for Kids?

Are All Toothpaste Safe for Kids?Your child's first tooth is always white, adorable, and beautiful. You are obligated as a parent to ensure that your kid's teeth are in perfect condition. But do you know when your children should start using toothpaste to brush their teeth? Most parents ask, are all toothpaste safe for kids? The answer is NO! A wide range of toothpaste is not suitable for infants. You should never allow kids to use ordinary toothpaste.

Why Do Children Need Special Toothpaste

There is a specific, natural toothpaste for children; however, some contain substances that must be avoided. For example, if your youngster is under the age of two, use fluoride-free toothpaste. This is because kids ingest toothpaste rather than spitting it. Fluoride is damaging to the developing human brain when your kid swallows it. Instead, fluoridated water, as well as other supplements, can provide fluoride to your baby.

Moreover, don't give your kid toothpaste with sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), which encourages irritating canker infections. Let your child use toothpaste that contains essential oils, which are primarily found in all-natural toothpaste. Most essential oils are antimicrobial; however, children should maintain their oral flora instead of eradicating it to avoid cavities.

When Should I Start Brushing My Baby's Teeth?

Oral bacteria get a feast anytime your youngster eats or drinks something. Bacteria feed on the sugars when these meals disintegrate. Bacteria release acids as waste materials after feeding these sugars. These toxins promote tooth decay, bad breath, cavities, and enamel erosion. If you don't get rid of plaque within 48 hours, it starts to deteriorate and finally hardens.

This tartar cannot be removed with a toothbrush and floss, necessitating professional teeth cleaning. Your youngster does not need toothpaste to get rid of plaque. All you need is a toothbrush, some water, and the proper brushing technique.
